Żnin

The Żnin Municipality, located in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, within the Żnin County, has its seat in the town of Żnin and encompasses numerous village administrations and localities. The municipality includes the historic town of Żnin as well as villages with rich cultural heritage. Structures erected in the 19th and 20th centuries, such as manors and palaces, attract the attention of tourists and historians. The municipality boasts numerous monuments, including churches from various eras, like the half-timbered Church of St. Catherine from 1826 in Brzyskorzystew and the late Gothic Church of St. Nicholas from the end of the 15th century in Cerekwica. The manor complex in Brzyskorzystewko, with a manor house from around 1873 and a park, is one example of local architecture. In Wenecja, it is worth noting the ruins of a 14th/15th-century castle and the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary from the years 1869–1872. The municipality also has many historical structures, such as the town hall and the town hall tower in Żnin, which feature architecture from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. The demographics of the municipality show a stable population, which may indicate balanced regional development. Interestingly, until 1954, the Żnin Municipality was divided into two areas: Żnin-East and Żnin-West, reflecting its complex administrative history. Additionally, Żnin is known for its rich traditions, including crafts and local festivals that cultivate local customs and integrate the community. It is also worth mentioning the numerous green areas that promote recreation and tourism, making the Żnin Municipality an attractive place for both residents and tourists.
