Adamówka is a rural municipality in the Podkarpackie Voivodeship, within Przeworsk County, with its administrative seat located in the village of the same name. The municipality covers an area of 134.27 km², of which 49% is agricultural land and 44% is forest land. According to demographic data, Adamówka had a population of 4,338 in 2011, which decreased to 4,057 by 2019. The municipality lies within the Sieniawa Protected Landscape Area, where fish farming and the cultivation of fruits and vegetables are developing. The history of Adamówka dates back to 1866, when single-village municipalities were established under the Galician municipal law. Over the centuries, the municipality underwent various administrative changes, including the formation of a collective municipality in 1934, which encompassed several villages. The period of World War II brought changes to the municipality's structure, and after the war, smaller administrative units called gromady were created, which were later transformed back into municipalities. In 1990, the position of wójt (mayor) was reinstated, and Edward Jarmuziewicz held this office for 34 years until 2024, when he was succeeded by Jacek Kierepka. Adamówka, along with Pawłowa and Pod Piwnem, is one of the settlements within the municipality. The region is also characterized by rich forest flora and fauna, as well as traditions related to local agriculture and farming. The municipality of Adamówka borders the municipalities of Kuryłówka, Leżajsk, Sieniawa, Stary Dzików, Tarnogród, and Wiązownica, fostering cooperation and cultural exchange between these areas.
