Aleksandrow

Aleksandrów, a rural commune in the Łódź Voivodeship situated in the Piotrków County, boasts a rich history and a distinctive demographic structure. Until 1954, it was known as the Niewierszyn Commune. The seat of the commune's authorities is the village of Aleksandrów. According to statistical data, in 2013 the commune was inhabited by 4,395 people, and by the end of 2019 this number had decreased to 4,326 residents. The commune is characterized by a significant share of agricultural land (61%) and forests (32%), highlighting its rural nature. The commune covers an area of 144.09 km², which constitutes 10.08% of the entire Piotrków County.
