wikipedia
The Church of All Saints in Rudawa, Kraków County, is a Roman Catholic parish church with a rich history dating back to 1326. Architecturally, it stands out with its Gothic presbytery from 1470, a 17th-century wooden belfry, and the Renaissance Chapel of St. Casimir. The belfry, built in 1541, features distinctive sloping walls and is an example of medieval defensive architecture. The church’s interior is richly furnished, including a Gothic painting of the Madonna and Child from 1450, paintings of St. Casimir and St. Anne with the Virgin and Child by Michał Stachowicz, and a baptismal font from 1707. Notable features include an 18th-century wooden tabernacle resembling St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome and a 17th-century bell cast by Baltazar Roszkiewicz. Historically, the church underwent numerous renovations, including a major restoration in 1614, when Gothic pinnacles were added. Renaissance friezes from the early 17th century, uncovered in 1972, and Baroque stepped gables from the 17th century further highlight the architectural richness of this temple. Another restoration was carried out in 1963. In front of the church stands the tomb monument of Elżbieta Zagorowska from 1709, while inside there is an epitaph of Elżbieta z Giebułtowskich Pisarska from 1576. The church, listed in the register of immovable monuments of the Lesser Poland Voivodeship, is not only a place of religious worship but also an important part of the regional cultural heritage.
