The Armored Weapons Museum in Poznań, a branch of the Polish Army Museum in Warsaw, is located in the Wola district of Poznań in former barracks, near Poznań-Ławica Airport. The armored weapons exhibition began its activity in 1963–1964 as a didactic collection for cadets of the Officer's School of Armored Weapons, and a special hall with an area of 750 m² was established in 1964. Over time, after the school was dissolved in 1993, the collection transformed into the "Hall of Tradition of the Land Forces Training Center," which in turn led to its conversion into a museum in 2015. The museum was opened to the public in its new location on October 4, 2019. In a historical context, exhibits such as the Sturmgeschütz IV assault gun, which is the only operational one of its kind in the world, highlight the institution's significance in preserving Poland's armored history. The collection includes tanks like the T-34/85, known from the iconic series "Four Tank-Men and a Dog," as well as unique specimens such as a T-55 tank autographed by Steven Spielberg. The museum also operates online, making its collections accessible to a wider audience since 2012. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the museum grounds were adapted as a logistics center. The Armored Weapons Museum combines architectural aspects with a rich history, offering a fascinating insight into Poland's military heritage and becoming a significant landmark in Poznań's cultural landscape.
