Poznań

Poznań is one of the oldest and most important cities in Poland, known for its rich history, architecture, culture, and numerous attractions. Located in western Poland on the Warta River, the city is the historic capital of the Greater Poland region and has been the seat of the Greater Poland Voivodeship authorities since 1999. Many significant historical events have taken place in Poznań, including the Greater Poland Uprisings, which were crucial for Polish independence. Poznań is also the place where World War II ended, and as a result of wartime actions, the city was partially destroyed.
