Automotive and Technology Museum in Białystok

The Museum of Motorization and Technology in Białystok, founded by the Association of Lovers of Old Motorization and Technology "Moto Retro", is located in a former military warehouse from 1988, situated in a post-military complex on Węglowa Street. The museum occupies the upper floor of the former garage, covering an area of 800 m², as well as the lower level, which houses workshops and technical facilities. The museum space hosts rallies and meetings for collectors of historic vehicles, dynamic shows, and various automotive exhibitions, making it an important venue on the cultural map of Białystok. The museum's collection includes motorcycles from 1920–1981 and cars from 1930–1981, featuring such gems as a Fiat 1100 from 1939, a Warszawa M-20, and a prototype Fiat 126p 650NP with a front-mounted engine. The exhibition also showcases historic bicycles, old public transport vehicles, railway and firefighting exhibits, military reconstructions, and militaria. The museum impresses not only with its rich collection but also with its history, recovering and presenting forgotten aspects of motorization and technology from years past. An interesting fact is that the museum displays not only vehicles but also historic radio receivers, TV equipment, and communication devices, illustrating the development of technology over the decades. The museum's premises are also shared with the Węglowa Skatepark, creating an unusual yet intriguing combination that attracts a diverse group of visitors. It is worth visiting this place not only to see interesting exhibits but also to experience the atmosphere of historic motorization, which transports visitors back in time.
