Baltów

Bałtów is a rural commune in the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship, within the Ostrowiec County, with its seat located in the town of Bałtów. Previously known as the Pętkowice Commune, it changed its name in 1954. The commune is situated along the provincial road no. 754, which facilitates transportation in the region. As of the end of 2009, the population of the commune was 3,901. Bałtów covers an area of 104.92 km², of which 54% is agricultural land and 41% is forested. The commune constitutes 17.02% of the area of Ostrowiec County.
