Baranów is a rural commune in the Masovian Voivodeship, within the Grodzisk County, with its seat in the village of Baranów. According to statistical data, in 2019 the commune had a population of 5,340, which represents an increase compared to the number of 5,240 inhabitants in 2016. The Baranów commune covers an area of 75.37 km², with agricultural land dominating, accounting for 92% of its area, while the commune constitutes 20.54% of the county's area. It borders communes such as Błonie, Grodzisk Mazowiecki, Jaktorów, Teresin, and Wiskitki. Historically, between 1975 and 1998, the commune belonged to the Skierniewice Voivodeship. Baranów has rich rural traditions, and its architecture reflects a simple, rural style, with many single-family homes and agricultural facilities. Local customs and events that bring the community together are also highly valued. It is also worth mentioning that in November 2017, a decision was made to build the Central Communication Port "Solidarność" in Stanisławów, which may influence the development of the region in the coming years. Demographically, in 2016 the commune had a population density of 69.5 people per km². The commune comprises many villages, such as Basin, Boża Wola, Bronisławów, Karolina, Kaski, and Stanisławów. Interestingly, Baranów, despite its rural character, is becoming increasingly attractive to residents from nearby cities, offering peace and proximity to nature. Thus, the commune is an interesting place on the map of Masovia, combining tradition with modernity.
