Borowie is a rural municipality located in the Masovian Voivodeship, within Garwolin County, with its administrative seat in the village of Borowie. Previously, from 1975 to 1998, the municipality belonged to the Siedlce Voivodeship. In 2011, it was inhabited by 5,230 people. The municipality is characterized by a diverse land structure, covering an area of 80.41 km², where agricultural land (78%) and forests (17%) dominate. In the demographic structure of its inhabitants, the 2014 age pyramid is particularly interesting, as it may illustrate population changes. The municipality consists of several village councils, including Borowie, Brzuskowola, Chromin, and Dudka, as well as numerous smaller settlements such as Borowie-Kolonia and Głosków-Kolonia. Within the municipality lies the Parish of the Holy Trinity in Borowie, reflecting the religious and social traditions of the local community. Neighboring municipalities, such as Garwolin and Miastków Kościelny, form a local administrative network, fostering cooperation and cultural exchange.
