The commune of Brenna, located in the Silesian Voivodeship, in Cieszyn County, covers an area of 95.54 km², of which 30% is agricultural land and 64% is forest land. Demographic data shows that in 1900, the area was inhabited by 4,301 people, and by 2004 this number had increased to 10,164, reaching 11,230 in 2017. In 1900, the dominant ethnic group were Poles (99.3%), and the majority religion was Catholicism (84%).
