Brzeżno, a rural commune in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, is located in the Świdwin County and covers an area constituting 10.1% of the county's total territory. The seat of the commune is the village of Brzeżno, which has retained the same name since at least September 1993. Recent demographic data indicates a decline in population from 2,836 in 2016 to 2,767 in 2017. The commune borders the towns of Świdwin, Drawsko Pomorskie, and Łobez, and between 1975 and 1998, it was part of the Koszalin Voivodeship.
