The Adam Fastnacht Regional Museum in Brzozów, located in the building of the former town hall, was opened on March 17, 1980, thanks to the efforts of the Polish Tourist and Sightseeing Society and the initiative of Jerzy F. Adamski. The museum is named after Adam Fastnacht, a researcher of the history of Sanok and the Sanok Land, and its collections include around 500 exhibits related to history, ethnography, and art. In 1981, the first permanent exhibition was made available to the public, focusing on the folk culture of the Brzozów region. The museum's displays showcase the rich local heritage, including flint tools from the Neolithic period and 17th- and 18th-century documents related to Brzozów, such as the mayor and councilors' book and descriptions of the town's boundaries. The museum also features 19th-century crafts and the workshop of Brzozów’s last comb maker, Jan Fala. Art is represented by sculptures from local artists such as Stanisław Adamczak and Marek Duda. Exhibitions related to the 20th century include reconstructions of a bourgeois-intellectual salon, a peasant room, and an exhibition dedicated to the history of Jews in Brzozów. The museum also engages in publishing activities, releasing scholarly works and regional monthly magazines. In 1988, the museum won first place in the National Publishing Competition of the Polish Tourist and Sightseeing Society for publishing books about the region. In 1995, the museum became a self-governing cultural institution. Additionally, the museum draws attention with its diverse thematic exhibitions and historical, ethnographic, and artistic collections, making it an important center of culture and history in the region.
