The municipality of Bulkowo, located in the Masovian Voivodeship in Płock County, is a local government unit that from 1975 to 1998 was administratively part of the Płock Voivodeship. Its seat is the village of Bulkowo. The municipality covers an area of 117.11 km², which is predominantly agricultural land (90%) with a small area of forests (4%). In 2004, the municipality had 5,983 residents, and by 2019, the population had decreased to 5,512. The villages (sołectwa) that make up the municipality are diverse, and their residents can enjoy various local traditions. There is also the village of Malenie, which does not have the status of a sołectwo. The municipality borders Bodzanów, Dzierzążnia, Mała Wieś, Naruszewo, Radzanowo, and Staroźreby.
