Cedynia is an urban-rural municipality located in the southwestern part of the Gryfino County, with its seat in the town of Cedynia. It lies at the junction of the Lower Odra Valley, the Myślibórz Lakeland, and the Gorzów Plain, with the Oder River marking its western border. The municipality shares a border with Germany, and its westernmost point is located in Osinów Dolny. The Cedynia Landscape Park covers a large part of the municipality and includes four nature reserves. The area also boasts rich tourist attractions, offering numerous hiking trails, while forests cover 40% of its territory. Cedynia features many historical monuments, such as the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, a Cistercian convent, and the town hall. The municipality provides educational infrastructure, including primary schools and a middle school, with public transport served by local bus services. The local economy is based on agriculture and tourism, and in 2016, its budget amounted to PLN 20.5 million. Cedynia, known for its rich history dating back to the 13th/14th century, has much to offer both residents and tourists, and its location and natural surroundings create excellent conditions for recreation and leisure.
