The Church of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Borchów is a wooden Greek Catholic church built in 1770, now serving as a Roman Catholic filial church in the parish of Oleszyce. The building was renovated in 1930 when it was part of the Greek Catholic parish in Oleszyce, and later became an independent parish. In the 19th and 20th centuries, the church underwent significant modifications, including the raising of the babinets (women’s gallery) to accommodate a choir and the addition of a porch in 1924. After World War II, it remained unused for many years, and since 1971 it has functioned as a filial chapel. In the 1980s and 1990s, the church underwent comprehensive renovation. Architecturally, the church represents a traditional spatial layout, enriched by later alterations, which highlights its historical value. In 1993, the church was listed as a historical monument, underscoring its cultural significance, and it was also included in the Subcarpathian Wooden Architecture Trail. The church features interesting elevations, including the eastern and side facades, as well as a bell tower, attracting enthusiasts of architecture and history. The church in Borchów is an important landmark in the regional culture, reflecting the history of the religious affiliation of the local inhabitants and the architectural heritage of the Subcarpathian region.
