The Miedziana Góra Commune, located in the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship within the Kielce County, is one of the communes of the Kielce agglomeration. Its seat is Miedziana Góra, and it was formerly known as Niewachlów until 1954. Between 1975 and 1998, Miedziana Góra belonged to the Kielce Voivodeship. The commune is distinguished by its high natural values and is referred to as the "Green Lungs of Kielce," attracting residents of Kielce seeking places to settle. The commune covers an area of 70.84 km², of which 47% is agricultural land and 44% is forested. With a population of 10,511 according to 2010 data, Miedziana Góra is attractive not only for its nature but also for its sports infrastructure. It is home to the Kielce Race Track, where numerous automotive events are organized, and the Tumlin Podgród ski station, the largest facility of its kind in the Świętokrzyskie Mountains.
