Czarnocin is a rural municipality located in the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship, within Kazimierza County, with its administrative seat in the village of Czarnocin. Historically, from 1975 to 1998, the municipality was part of the Kielce Voivodeship. At the end of 2010, the municipality had a population of 4,008. It covers an area of 70.32 km², of which 92% is agricultural land and only 1% is covered by forests. The municipality consists of several village districts (sołectwa), including Bieglów, Będziaki, Charzowice, Cieszkowy, Czarnocin, and Mękarzowice.
