Czernice Borowe

Czernice Borowe is a rural commune located in the Masovian Voivodeship, within the Przasnysz County, boasting a rich history and dynamic demographics. The seat of the commune is the village of Czernice Borowe, and its name was previously used in the context of the Chojnowo commune. Between 1975 and 1998, the commune was part of the Ciechanów Voivodeship. Over the years, the commune has experienced demographic changes; in 2004, it was inhabited by 4,082 people, and by the end of 2017, the population had decreased to 3,840. The commune covers an area of 120.31 km², of which 87% is agricultural land and 8% is forested, reflecting its agricultural character. As early as 2002, the Czernice Borowe commune accounted for 9.88% of the area of Przasnysz County. Among the villages within the commune are places such as Borkowo-Falenta, Chojnowo, and Czernice Borowe.
