Czerwonak is a rural municipality in the Greater Poland Voivodeship, located in the Poznań County, with its administrative seat in the town of Czerwonak. According to data from 2017, the municipality was inhabited by 27,450 people, and by the end of 2021, the population had increased to 27,863 residents. The municipality stands out for its high level of urbanization and population density, reaching 280 people/km², as well as its extensive forest coverage, with the Puszcza Zielonka Landscape Park and the Warta Valley occupying over 39% of its area. Within the municipality lies Koziegłowy, one of the largest villages in Poland. The eastern part of Czerwonak is adorned with the Przylesie housing estate, built in the 1980s. Among the municipality's historical landmarks, the village of Owińska holds a special place, featuring a church designed by Pompeo Ferrari, constructed in the style of typical rural architecture. Remains of a post-Cistercian monastery complex and the von Treskow family palace have also been preserved here. The municipality boasts rich tourist routes, including the Trail of Wooden Churches and the Cistercian Trail, highlighting its historical significance. In terms of transportation, the municipality is well-connected: it is traversed by the provincial road No. 196 and a railway line operated by Koleje Wielkopolskie, while bus services are organized by ZTM Poznań. Czerwonak borders Murowana Goślina, Pobiedziska, Poznań, Suchy Las, and Swarzędz. The municipality consists of 14 village administrative units, including Annowo, Dębogóra, and Trzaskowo. It is an attractive destination that combines natural beauty with a rich cultural heritage.
