Dębnica Kaszubska is a rural municipality located in the Pomeranian Voivodeship, within Słupsk County, with its seat in Dębnica Kaszubska. According to data from 2023, the municipality has a population of 9,024. It is situated in the northwestern part of the voivodeship, bordering municipalities such as Redzikowo, Damnica, Potęgowo, and Czarna Dąbrówka. The municipality is located approximately 12 kilometers from Słupsk and partially lies within the Słupia Valley Landscape Park, which has been part of the Natura 2000 network since 2004 as a Special Protection Area for birds. The municipality comprises 43 localities, including 22 village councils (sołectwa). The total area of the municipality is 299.52 km², of which 43% is agricultural land and 48% is forested. Dębnica Kaszubska is rich in protected areas—it is home to two nature reserves, "Źródliskowe Torfowisko" and "Gogolewko," as well as ten ecological sites, underscoring its importance in nature conservation. Natural monuments hold a special place in the municipality, such as the glacial erratic "Smocze Jajo" (Dragon's Egg) and pedunculate oaks with intriguing names. In 2020, the municipality had 50 natural monuments. Combining natural wealth and tradition, Dębnica Kaszubska has much to offer both residents and tourists, showcasing its local cultural character, which is intertwined with numerous legends and stories.
