Podole Małe is a small administrative village in the Pomeranian Voivodeship, Słupsk County, located within the protective buffer zone of the "Słupia Valley" Landscape Park. According to data from the end of 2021, the village had 209 inhabitants. The settlement boasts a rich history dating back to at least the 15th century when it was a fiefdom of the noble von Zitzewitz family. In the 19th century, its fate became intertwined with the von Miltitz family and the German Colonial Company GmbH from Białogard. After World War II, the village was resettled by displaced persons from the Eastern Borderlands and other groups. Architecturally, it is distinguished by landmarks such as an early medieval stronghold dated to the 7th–9th centuries and a palace park from the second half of the 19th century, which is entered in the register of monuments. The village is characterized by an interesting geological structure, with boulder clays dominating in the north and peat deposits in the south. The flora of Podole Małe includes both deciduous and coniferous species, and the presence of ecological utility areas such as the "Wieliszewo 8 Peat Bog" underscores the region's biodiversity. A visit to the village offers not only a chance to explore local history and culture but also an opportunity to discover natural attractions, including the valley of the Graniczna stream. The village boasts a vibrant community life, represented by an active Volunteer Fire Department and numerous cultural initiatives, including the "Barn of Art" gallery with its unique collection of Marzannas.
