wikipedia
Dobrodzień, also known as Guttentag, is an urban-rural municipality located in the Opole Voivodeship, within Oleski County. For many years, from 1975 to 1998, it belonged to the Częstochowa Voivodeship, and earlier to Lubliniec County. The main seat of the municipality is the town of Dobrodzień. In 2009, the municipality introduced German as an auxiliary language, highlighting the cultural diversity of the region. The municipality covers an area of 162.84 km², of which 45% is agricultural land and 47% is forested, reflecting the area's rich natural and agricultural resources. Demographically, in 2006, the municipality was home to a diverse population, which can be visualized through an age pyramid. The Dobrodzień municipality includes fifteen village districts, such as Błachów, Główczyce-Zwóz, or Kocury-Malichów, as well as several localities without village district status, such as Dąbrowica, Marzatka, and Zwóz. On the map, the municipality borders the municipalities of Ciasna, Kolonowskie, Olesno, Ozimek, Pawonków, Zawadzkie, and Zębowice, indicating its location within an interesting regional network. Notably, the introduction of the German language in Dobrodzień may be linked to historical cultural ties dating back to times when the area was under German cultural influence. The municipality is an example of a locality that combines agricultural and forestry traditions with multicultural elements, making it an interesting point on the map of the Opole Voivodeship.
