wikipedia
Dobrojewo is a village located in the Poznań Lakeland, in the Greater Poland Voivodeship, within the administrative district of Ostroróg. Its history dates back to the 14th century, when it was first mentioned in historical records in 1391. For many centuries, the village was owned by various noble families, including the Dobrojewski and Ostroróg clans. In the mid-19th century, the estate belonged to Count Stefan Kwilecki, who developed it through various investments. Dobrojewo is characterized by a rich architectural heritage, including an 18th-century palace complex that was destroyed during World War II. However, two outbuildings and farm structures, such as a granary and a forge, have been preserved. The palace was an impressive building, modeled after classical architectural designs, and was notable for its richly decorated interiors. The area surrounding the village also features numerous historic chapels and crosses, which are important cultural elements of the region. Modern-day Dobrojewo stands out for its active community life; it has a football field, a volunteer fire department, a community center, and a playground. The surrounding area is home to orchards, reflecting the agricultural character of the region. The village is rich in history and traditions, making it an interesting place for both residents and tourists to explore.
