Dobrzyca is an urban-rural municipality in the Greater Poland Voivodeship, within Pleszew County, established on January 1, 2014. Located on the Greater Poland Lowland, approximately 95 km from Poznań and 40 km from Kalisz, the municipality has its seat in the town of Dobrzyca. The local economy is primarily based on agriculture, dominated by individual farms. Dobrzyca and its surroundings boast numerous historical sites, including the Palace and Park Complex, the wooden Church of St. Tekla from 1778, and the town hall dating from the turn of the 1920s and 1930s. The municipality also features rich cultural infrastructure, with a Museum and a Municipal Cultural Center that organizes numerous events such as the "My Little Homeland" Competitions and the Mikołajczyk Runs. The local community is actively engaged through the Society of Lovers of the Dobrzyca Land, which promotes regional history and culture. Dobrzyca is also a tourist attraction, offering cycling trails, and nearby attractions include the Gołuchów Castle and the Museum of Palace Interiors.
