Działoszyn is an urban-rural municipality located in the Łódź Voivodeship, within Pajęczno County. The seat of the municipality is the town of Działoszyn, which historically belonged to Wieluń County. Between 1975 and 1998, the municipality was part of the Sieradz Voivodeship. According to demographic data, in 2007 the municipality had a population of 12,926, which by the end of 2019 had increased to 12,444. Covering an area of 120.92 km², Działoszyn is characterized by 61% agricultural land and 28% forested areas, making it an important agricultural and forested region. The municipality is home to two nature reserves: Dąbrowa in Niżankowice, which protects forest ecosystems, and Węże, known for its limestone hills with unique karst formations and remnants of Pliocene-era flora and fauna. The area includes various localities, such as the villages of Bobrowniki and Lisowice, as well as settlements like Bugaj, Kiedosy, and Węże. It borders towns such as Lipie, Pajęczno, and Pątnów, fostering connections with nearby regions. Thus, Działoszyn is a place rich in history, diverse in social structure, and endowed with valuable natural assets.
