The area is characterized by its forested and agricultural landscapes, dominated by the cultivation of potatoes, cereals, rapeseed, and sugar beets. The region is renowned for its horseradish production, and Obrowa’s horseradish soup has been listed as a traditional product by the Ministry of Agriculture. The county's economy also relies on industry, including the well-known Cementownia Warta S.A. and deposits of limestone. Pajęczno County is also home to two cinemas, 27 libraries, and cultural centers. It is worth noting the county's rich history, dating back to 1956 when it was first established, after which it underwent a series of administrative reforms. Initially, the county had no towns, and Pajęczno regained its town rights only in 1958. Architecturally, the county boasts numerous historic sites, including the neo-Renaissance manor house in Stróża and Renaissance churches such as the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary and St. Leonard in Pajęczno and the Church of St. Mary and Magdalene in Działoszyn. The county is also home to the Załęcze Landscape Park, enriched with nature reserves and numerous natural monuments, making it an ideal destination for nature lovers and tourists. The county is associated with many notable figures, such as Jan Długosz, Irena Jurgielewiczowa, and Robert Warzycha, highlighting its cultural and historical significance. An interesting fact is that vehicles registered in Pajęczno County are assigned license plates with the code EPJ, emphasizing its unique character within the voivodeship's administration.
