wikipedia
Energylandia is the largest theme park in Poland, located in Zator, which opened on July 14, 2014. It covers an area of approximately 70 hectares and is divided into seven themed zones, offering over 130 attractions for guests of all ages. The park features numerous roller coasters, including two hyper coasters, as well as a variety of carousels, extreme rides, restaurants, souvenir shops, and performance venues. In 2016, the Energylandia Water Park was also opened. In 2023, the park was voted the best amusement park in the country by Poles. Throughout its history, the park has attracted a growing number of visitors, reaching a record attendance in 2021 with over 1.8 million guests. Energylandia stands out for its unique architecture, with each zone—such as Bajkolandia, Smoczy Gród, or Aqualantis—carefully themed, enhancing its visual and cultural appeal. The park draws inspiration from popular myths and legends, as seen in Aqualantis, which references the legend of the sunken city of Atlantis. Interestingly, the park has introduced many innovative roller coasters throughout its history, such as Dragon—the first inverted coaster in Poland—and Hyperion, the tallest and fastest hyper coaster in Europe. Over the years, the park has expanded in several phases, with plans for further growth, including the construction of new themed zones and a four-star hotel. The creative team behind Energylandia emphasizes innovation, as demonstrated by the implementation of modern technologies in roller coasters, such as the electromagnetic launch system on the Formula coaster. Guest engagement is strengthened through a variety of live shows and attractions, ranging from stunt performances to 7D cinema experiences. In recent years, the park experienced a decline in attendance due to the COVID-19 pandemic but aims to rebound and achieve higher visitor numbers, targeting four million guests annually by 2024. Energylandia continues to expand its offerings, solidifying its position as one of Poland's premier entertainment destinations and attracting tourists from across Europe.
