wikipedia
The Ethnographic Museum in Zielona Góra, located in the Ochla district, was established in 1982 within the Zielona Góra Ethnographic Park. It spans 13 hectares in the southern part of the city, in the Ochla neighborhood, and serves as both a research and educational institution. The museum houses nearly 8,000 artifacts of folk culture, including over 100 immovable structures representing four historical regions: Western Greater Poland, Eastern Lusatia, Lower Silesia, and the central Lubusz area. Among its most valuable exhibits is the oldest preserved house from Potrzebowo, dating back to 1675, and an 18th-century wine tower from Budachów. The museum also features collections related to the culture of populations resettled after World War II from the Eastern Borderlands and Romanian Bukovina. The collection and scholarly study of exhibits are managed by four departments: Folk Architecture, Technical Culture, Costumes and Textiles, and Art. The museum offers educational programs that allow visitors to observe how daily tasks were performed in the past and learn the secrets of traditional crafts. The open-air museum includes a tavern and a fishing area with a fish fry station, as well as options for organizing bonfires or receptions. The museum is situated on the Lubusz Wine and Honey Trail, further highlighting its cultural significance. The museum’s gallery showcases seasonal changes, featuring exhibits related to winter, summer, and winemaking culture.
