The Leon Deyek Firefighting Museum in Przodkowo is a cultural institution located in a historic fire station, established in 1994 on the initiative of the local volunteer fire brigade commander, Leon Deyek. Between 2010 and 2014, the museum underwent expansion, allowing for the creation of new exhibition spaces. The opening of this new section was honored by General Wiesław Leśniakiewicz, the Chief Commander of the State Fire Service. In 2016, on the first anniversary of Leon Deyek's death, the institution was named after him. The museum focuses on the history of firefighting in the region, displaying a wide range of exhibits, including fire engines such as Scania, Star 25, and Żuk, as well as horse-drawn fire pumps, motor pumps, firefighting uniforms, and historical documents and photographs. Interestingly, some of the exhibits were acquired from abroad, including Switzerland, the USSR, and East Germany. The museum building also houses the Rescue Education Center and the Municipal Social Welfare Center, highlighting its multifunctional character. Visiting the museum is possible by organized appointment, which allows for a personalized approach to guests.
