Przodkowo is a rural commune in the Pomeranian Voivodeship, located in the Kartuzy County, with its seat in the village of Przodkowo. Historically, between 1975 and 1998, the commune was part of the Gdańsk Voivodeship. The commune consists of 16 village districts, including Przodkowo and Pomieczyno, and covers an area of 85.39 km², of which 77% is agricultural land and 11% is forested. Przodkowo is a bilingual commune, with a population of 10,873 residents as of June 30, 2022. An interesting aspect is that, according to the 2002 census, 49% of the inhabitants speak the Kashubian language, highlighting the region's cultural richness and its ties to Kashubian tradition. The commune also includes non-village district localities such as Bagniewo, Barwik, and Bukczyna, which are less known but equally diverse. The commune borders three other communes: Kartuzy, Szemud, and Żukowo.
