Leśna Podlaska is a rural municipality located in the Lublin Voivodeship, within Biała Podlaska County. Its administrative seat is situated in a town of the same name. The municipality spans an area of 97.69 km², which constitutes 3.55% of the county's total area. Land use is decentralized, with 79% of the territory dedicated to agricultural purposes and 15% covered by forests. In 2004, Leśna Podlaska was home to 4,554 residents.
The region features the Chmielinne Nature Reserve, which protects unique riparian forests, including ash and alder varieties, highlighting the richness of the local ecosystem. The municipality comprises seventeen village districts (sołectwa), such as Bukowice, Droblin, and Jagodnica. It borders the municipalities of Biała Podlaska, Huszlew, Janów Podlaski, Konstantynów, and Stara Kornica.
