Fort XIV of the Modlin Fortress

Fort XIV, located near the village of Goławice, is one of the forts of the Modlin Fortress, constructed as part of the second outer ring of forts between 1912 and 1915. Its design was based on the F1910 standard. Although the fort was not completed before the outbreak of World War I, earthworks were carried out and key structures were built, including observation and combat shelters. From an architectural perspective, the fort represents the characteristic style of early 20th-century military construction, reflecting the defensive techniques and military strategies of the time. Over the years, Fort XIV has lost much of its original function, and the area has now been cleaned up and fenced off, allowing for various forms of recreation and exploration.
