wikipedia
Lisi Ogon is a village located in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, in the Bydgoszcz County, within the administrative district of Białe Błota, situated to the west of Bydgoszcz. The village boasts a rich history dating back to the Middle Stone Age, when people engaged in fishing and hunting settled in the area of Lisi Ogon. In the 18th century, Bydgoszcz’s village administrators established new settlements here, such as Nowa Erekcja and Chwałabogu. During the partitions of Poland, the village was known by its German name, Fuchsschwanz (Lisi Ogon), reflecting its incorporation into Prussian authorities after the First Partition of Poland. In the 20th century, the village endured the difficult period of German occupation, and after World War II, it underwent development, including suburbanization, which contributed to population growth. Architecturally, it stands out with a historic 19th-century manor house in the late Classicist style, located within the historical Czersko estate. As a suburban village, Lisi Ogon combines industrial and storage areas with residential buildings. The national road No. 10 runs through the village, as well as the "Nadnotecki" tourist trail, attracting both tourists and residents. The village is home to numerous commercial and service companies, as well as a complex of breeding ponds. Culturally, it is the seat of the sports club Pogoń Lisi Ogon and the site of former Evangelical settlements. Lisi Ogon is distinguished by its beautiful natural surroundings, including the Bydgoszcz Forest, and is a well-known destination for tourists and local communities. It is also worth noting that the village features natural monuments and diverse infrastructure, which enhances the quality of life for its residents. In recent years, Lisi Ogon has experienced dynamic demographic and economic growth, making it an attractive place to live and settle.
