The "Głazy Krasnoludków" Nature Reserve is located in southwestern Poland, within the Kamienna Góra municipality in Lower Silesia. It is situated in the northwestern part of the Stołowe Mountains, in the Central Sudetes, in a picturesque area along the Jawiszówka stream. Established in 1970 by the Minister of Forestry and Timber Industry, it covers an area of 9.04 hectares. Its purpose is to protect unique rock formations, rare plant species, and natural plant communities. Visitors to the reserve can admire the Gorzeszów Rocks, which captivate with their extraordinary shapes resembling figures, animals, or mushrooms. These rock formations are made of Upper Cretaceous sandstone, sculpted by water, representing an interesting geological and natural aspect of the region. The reserve is actively protected, ensuring the preservation of its natural values for future generations. Interestingly, the reserve is a popular destination for excursions and a source of inspiration for artists and photographers, with its unusual shapes often becoming the subject of legends and local tales. The "Głazy Krasnoludków" Reserve combines the architectural aspects of nature with the rich cultural heritage of the region, making it an important element of local identity.
