Kamienna Góra is a rural commune located in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship, within Kamienna Góra County, with its administrative seat in the town of Kamienna Góra. From 1975 to 1998, the commune was part of the Jelenia Góra Voivodeship. Covering an area of 158.1 km², it is currently inhabited by approximately 9,018 people, which marks an increase compared to 2004, when the population was 8,663. The commune features a diverse landscape, with 60% of its area dedicated to agricultural use and 32% covered by forests. Kamienna Góra is also an important nature conservation area, home to the Głazy Krasnoludków (Gnome Rocks) Reserve, which protects unique sandstone weathering formations, highlighting the region's natural richness. The commune comprises numerous localities, such as Czadrów, Czarnów, Dębrznik, Gorzeszów, and Krzeszów, each with its own unique history and traditions.
