Głowno

Gmina Głowno, located in the Łódź Voivodeship within Zgierz County, stands out with its considerable area of 104.77 km², of which 82% is agricultural land and 11% is forested. This is an area rich in agricultural traditions and diverse infrastructure. The seat of the municipality is the town of Głowno, which until 1953 was known as the Lubianków Commune. The commune was also part of the Łódź Voivodeship between 1975 and 1998. In 2007, the commune was inhabited by 4,908 people, and by 2017, this number had slightly decreased to 4,847 residents. Gmina Głowno borders several other communes, such as Bielawy, Dmosin, Domaniewice, Łyszkowice, Piątek, Stryków, and Zgierz, which fosters cooperation and cultural exchange.
