Łęczyca County, established in 1999 as part of the administrative reform, is located in the Łódź Voivodeship, with its seat in the town of Łęczyca. The county covers an area of 772.75 km², which constitutes 4.24% of the total area of the voivodeship. Within the county lies the geometric center of Poland. According to demographic data, at the end of 2019, the population of the county was 49,747, and by June 2020, it had decreased to 49,562. Łęczyca County consists of one urban municipality (Łęczyca), two urban-rural municipalities (Grabów and Piątek), and five rural municipalities (Daszyna, Góra Świętej Małgorzaty, Świnice Warckie, Witonia). It borders the counties of Kutno, Łowicz, Zgierz, Poddębice, and Koło in the Greater Poland Voivodeship.
