The Głuchaczki Tent Base is a student accommodation facility located in a picturesque area near the summit of Mędralowa, along the Main Beskid Trail. It offers lodging in tourist conditions, with 40 spots in 10-person tents and an additional 20 spots for those with their own equipment. Amenities include a shower with heated water (heated exclusively in an eco-friendly manner using solar collectors), access to free boiling water or tea, and a tourist kitchen. The base is run by the Student Association of Beskid Guides in Katowice and operates only during the summer season, from July to August. It serves as an ideal starting point for popular regional peaks such as Babia Góra and Pilsko, as well as numerous trails in the Maków Beskids. According to Jerzy Kondracki's geographical classification of Poland, Głuchaczki is located in the Maków Beskids, although popular guidebooks often include it in the Żywiec Beskids. The base can be reached via various hiking trails, including the red trail from Markowe Szczawiny (4 hours walking time) and from Glinne Pass (3 hours walking time). Głuchaczki is not just a place to stay overnight but also an excellent base for all mountain tourism enthusiasts who appreciate proximity to nature and active recreation.
