wikipedia
The Inowrocław Spa Graduation Tower, located in the Solankowy Park, was opened in 2001 and features a distinctive design of two interconnected polygons with a circumference of 322 meters and a height of 9 meters. The idea for its construction dates back to 1984, and the actual building process began in 1994. At its top, there is a viewing terrace offering panoramic views of the city and the park. The tower plays a significant therapeutic role; brine pumped to the top trickles down through blackthorn brushwood, creating a natural saline aerosol. This is particularly beneficial for people with respiratory conditions, hypertension, and general exhaustion. The effective range of the aerosol is about 300 meters, and it is recommended to spend no more than 15–30 minutes in its vicinity at a time. In 2020, the tower underwent a renovation that included replacing the blackthorn brushwood and modernizing the viewing terrace. The structure also holds historical significance, as archaeological evidence suggests that similar brine-graduation installations may have existed in the Inowrocław area as early as Roman times, making them some of the oldest of their kind in Europe. Interestingly, the discovered remains might even be the world's oldest brine graduation towers, highlighting the rich cultural and natural heritage of the region. The Inowrocław graduation tower not only serves as an important therapeutic facility but also promotes health tourism and local heritage.
