Hotel Piast, located opposite Wrocław Główny railway station at 98 Piłsudskiego Street, is a two-star establishment with a rich history. Built in 1908 according to the design of architect Waldemar Mildbradt in a classicist style, it was originally named Hotel Kronprinz. Its distinctive feature is a semicircular tower with a staircase illuminated by large windows, which dominated the five-story wings. The ground floor housed commercial premises, and further inside, there was a restaurant. In the 1930s, the building hosted a variety of businesses, including a bank, a barber shop, a florist, and a travel agency. Together with the adjacent Hotel Du Nord, it formed a symbolic gateway to the historic center of Wrocław. After World War II, it was managed by the state-owned tourism enterprise "Odra," and in 2013, it was closed for revitalization, which was completed in February 2015. As a result of extensive renovation works, the hotel's facade was restored, and the interiors were modernized. A sixth floor was added, featuring a conference room for 100 people, a new kitchen, and a breakfast room. An additional elevator was installed, and the staircase was converted into representative hotel rooms. The new spatial and functional layout also introduced a new reception area and the Bistro Station restaurant. Hotel Piast reopened its doors to guests on February 18, 2015, as a two-star facility that combines history, modernity, and local character.
