Inowłódz

Inowłódz is an urban-rural municipality in the Łódź Voivodeship, within the Tomaszów Mazowiecki County, with its seat located in Inowłódz. From 1975 to 1998, the municipality was part of the Piotrków Voivodeship. As of the end of 2019, it had a population of 3,852 residents. The municipality is situated in the eastern part of the county, within the picturesque landscape of the charming Pilica River, surrounded by forests and clean waters. Inowłódz is known for its diverse historical monuments and attractive recreational areas, including the Olympic Preparation Center COS Spała, which attracts numerous tourists. According to data from 2002, the municipality covers an area of 98.04 km², of which 34% is agricultural land and 60% is forest, making it a place rich in natural resources. The Inowłódz municipality also includes several nature reserves, such as Gać Spalska, Konewka, Spała, and Żądłowice, which protect unique forest ecosystems and rare plants and animals.
