The InterContinental Warsaw is a five-star hotel located at 49 Emilii Plater Street in Warsaw, distinguished by its modern architectural form and slender structure in a pea-green color, harmonizing with the nearby Warsaw Financial Center. Construction took place from 2001 to 2003 and was designed by Tadeusz Spychała, Wojciech Popławski, and Williband Fürst, in collaboration with engineers Johann Meyer and Jerzy Błażeczek. The hotel offers 414 rooms and 76 apartments, as well as 14 conference rooms, two restaurants, a bar, and a café. On the 43rd and 44th floors, you’ll find the RiverView Wellness Centre, which houses the highest swimming pool in Poland with views of the Vistula River. The hotel is situated on a plot where Poland’s first jazz club, Akwarium, once stood. The construction of the skyscraper faced protests from residents of a nearby apartment block, who were concerned about access to sunlight. This led the investor to introduce architectural modifications, including a setback between the fifth and twentieth floors. The total cost of the investment amounted to €113 million. In 2016, the hotel received a five-star distinction in the Michelin Guide "Main Cities of Europe," making it the only hotel in Poland with such a high rating. The InterContinental Warsaw not only enhances the modern image of the capital but also ensures comfort and top-tier service quality.
