Józef Mehoffer's Bench is a commemorative bench located in Turek on Mehoffer Square, near Henryk Sienkiewicz Square and the Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. It commemorates the artist, who is strongly associated with the city as the creator of polychromes, oil paintings, and stained-glass window designs for the church between 1932 and 1939. Mehoffer was also made an honorary citizen of Turek, highlighting his ties to the region. The bench's design was created by Maja Brzyska as her diploma project at the Complex of Art Schools in Koło. The official unveiling took place in the presence of the artist's grandson, Ryszard Mehoffer, and numerous guests, including art conservators. The handover of the bench was conducted by representatives of local authorities and the parish, with the entire project funded by the city at a cost of 114,000 złoty. The monument is part of a broader city promotional strategy called "Turek – a City in Mehoffer's Climate" and is the first monument in Poland dedicated to this outstanding artist. It is worth noting that the bench's design combines local architecture with cultural heritage and Mehoffer's history, promoting both art and local identity.
