Jabłonna Lacka is a rural commune located in the Masovian Voivodeship, in the Sokołów County, with its seat in Jabłonna Lacka. In the past, between 1975 and 1998, the commune was part of the Siedlce Voivodeship. The commune covers an area of 149.4 km², and according to data from 2004, it was inhabited by 5,127 people. The land use structure of the commune is dominated by agricultural land, which accounts for as much as 75%, while forested areas occupy 19%. Jabłonna Lacka constitutes 13.2% of the area of Sokołów County. The commune includes several villages, such as Bujały-Gniewosze, Jabłonna Lacka, Wierzbice-Guzy, and Stara Jabłonna. The settlement of Ludwinów exists without the status of a village. It borders communes such as Ciechanowiec, Drohiczyn, and Sabnie. Jabłonna Lacka combines elements of rural architecture with the rich history of the region, which dates back many centuries. In the area, one can find traditional buildings as well as traces of folk culture, reflecting local customs and folklore. The commune has great potential for developing rural tourism. Interestingly, in 2014, demographic studies were conducted, the results of which revealed the age pyramid of the inhabitants, which may contribute to better planning of the local community's development.
