wikipedia
Siedlce County, established in 1999 as part of the administrative reform, is located in the Masovian Voivodeship, with its seat in the city of Siedlce. The county comprises 12 municipalities, including the urban-rural municipality of Mordy and 11 rural municipalities, such as Domanice and Mokobody. With an area of 160,322 hectares, agricultural land dominates, covering 118,766 hectares, reflecting the region's strong agricultural tradition. In 2020, the county had a population of 81,402. The region boasts a rich history dating back to the Middle Ages, when these lands were inhabited by various tribes. Modern evidence of this history includes numerous monuments, such as traditional rural cottages and religious buildings, which reflect local architecture. Siedlce County is also home to numerous cultural events, including folklore festivals and local craft fairs that attract both tourists and residents. Thanks to its proximity to Warsaw, the region is becoming increasingly accessible, and its attractive areas are becoming popular recreational spots for people from larger urban centers. An interesting fact is that many residents are involved in traditional crafts, contributing to the preservation of local traditions, while the population numbers indicate stable demographic growth. Siedlce County is surrounded by neighboring counties, including Łosice, Garwolin, and Mińsk, further enhancing its appeal as a place to live and relax.
