Jan Długosz University in Częstochowa, which began its operations in 1957 as the Teacher's College, underwent a series of transformations, becoming the Higher Teacher Education School in 1971, and later changing its name to the Pedagogical University. In 2004, it gained the status of an academy, and in 2018, it was transformed into the Jan Długosz University of Humanities and Natural Sciences, later changing its name to Jan Długosz University in 2023. The university not only obtained the right to confer doctoral degrees but also developed highly regarded scientific disciplines, highlighting its dynamic growth. Architecturally, the university campus, located in the center of Częstochowa, combines modern buildings with historical elements, fostering a harmonious blend of learning and tradition. From a cultural perspective, the university collaborates with numerous research centers both in Poland and abroad and organizes events related to its patron, Jan Długosz, underscoring its role in preserving cultural heritage.
