wikipedia
Jarosławiec is a seaside village located in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, known for its beautiful beaches, pine forests, and high cliffs. Its history dates back to 1460, when it was a fishing settlement. Originally known as Garzhouede, the village gained importance due to fishing and amber processing, which attracted German settlers and influenced the local architecture, including characteristic half-timbered houses. In the 19th century, Jarosławiec began to develop as a resort, attracting artists and tourists from Germany. After World War II, the village underwent various administrative changes, and in 1947 it adopted its current name. In recent decades, tourism has developed intensively, with the annual number of visitors reaching up to 170,000, including many families and couples seeking relaxation. Key attractions include the beaches, the 1835 lighthouse, the Amber Museum, and the "Panorama Morska" water park. Jarosławiec also hosts the International Beach Run, attracting runners from various parts of Poland and beyond. An interesting fact is the artificial beach, created in 2016 and modeled after the "Polish Dubai," which attracts tourists with its cleanliness and infrastructure. The village also has a fishing harbor and accommodation facilities with a capacity of 30,000 people, making it an important point on the map of the Polish coast. In Jarosławiec, one can also find rich traditions and culture, represented by the historic church and the fisherman's statue, symbolizing the historical roots of the village.
