Postomino is a rural commune located in the northeastern part of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, within Sławno County. Its administrative seat is the village of Postomino. The commune covers 21.8% of the county's area and is home to 12.1% of its population. In terms of land use, forests account for 20% of the commune, while agricultural land makes up 79%. The area is known for its rich architectural heritage, including the palace in Pieńkowo and two historic churches in Postomino and Pieńkowo. Historical exhibits can also be found in the 16th-century church tower in Marszewo and an old cottage in Łącko. Situated on the Słowińskie Coast, Postomino attracts tourists with its picturesque Baltic Sea coastline, the Wieprza River—ideal for kayaking—and Lake Wicko. Another notable feature is its proximity to the "Zaleskie Bagna" nature reserve, making the commune an appealing destination for nature enthusiasts. The area is well-connected by Provincial Road 203 and has two post offices. The local government supports tourism development in towns such as Jarosławiec and Rusinowo through a local tourism fee. On the international stage, Postomino cooperates with the German city of Tessin, highlighting its engagement in cross-border relations.
