Jedlińsk is a village in Poland, located in the Masovian Voivodeship, within Radom County. The history of the settlement dates back to the Middle Ages, when the surrounding fir forests gave rise to its name. Between 1442 and 1457, the town belonged to Mikołaj and Zbigniew Czajka, and in the 16th century, it was granted town rights by the Jedliński family of the Nabram coat of arms. From 1540, it enjoyed the right of the sword and became a center of Calvinism, attracting Scots. In 1655, the town suffered during the Swedish invasion and gradually declined after the departure of the Calvinists. After various transformations in the 17th and 18th centuries, Jedlińsk lost its town rights in 1869. In the 19th century, a dramatic fire broke out. Architecturally, it is distinguished by the Church of the Apostles Peter and Andrew, built in the 18th century, and a cemetery founded in 1798, where local hereditary families are buried. Education in Jedlińsk has a long history, dating back to Calvinist times, and the school, which existed in various forms since the 17th century, developed significantly in the 20th century, undergoing various changes.
